Well, Bently’s frequent disappearing acts has finally been solved. Turns out our beloved mascot has taken to “mowing down” the leftovers at Jake’s Burger. This comes as a relief since we had been noticing that his food bowl was staying mysteriously full.

Chris cut out soda and immediately sets a huge PR on the deadlift….Hey, I was at the beach the day we discussed “correlation vs. causation” in College!

May marks the 1st anniversary of Level 10 Crossfit. The pick above is of our very first workout at our currently location (some will remember the dark ages of what we dubbed “Crossfit livingroom”). Stay tunned for a formal anniversary get-together complete with food, friends and of course a crazy workout!

This past weekend Sklar and Brett put their hard work to the test and competed in the Nor Cal Regional games. The competition was intense as over 200 athletes competed for only 10 spots in this years “CrossFit Games”. The workouts were brutally hard which forced a large number of athletes to scales the workouts down in order to even finish them. This is a testament to the quality of athlete, as well as the splash that the North State intends to make once the CrossFit games roll around.
Saturday saw both Brett and Skylar complete two workouts. They each performed the workouts as Rx’d and had strong showings which earned them a shot to compete on Sunday. Sunday’s workout was a beast that had the crowd a buzz hours before it was officially announced. Once all eligible competitors has sufficiently tortured their bodies, the points were tabulated and the winners announced. Sklar impressed all with a solid #14th place finish proving beyond a doubt that she will be in contention for the games for many years. Brett placed an impressive #34 place out of roughly #150 male athletes!
Our Nor Cal Neighbor Crossfit Nor Cal and Crossfit Redding also worked extremely hard and had some truly impressive performances. Once again the girls stole the show with Katie DeLuca and Vanessa Lambert of Nor Cal Crossfit placing 10th and 12th respectively. John Fragoso, also of Nor Cal Crossfit, went after Sundays insane workout with incomparable drive and determination. Unfortunately John finish in tenth place and failed to earn a trip to the Crossfit Games. Other impressive finishers were: Victor Dowel #11,Cubby at #19, and Jordan Atwell #22, all of Crossfit Redding. Also, Captain America, Adam Lambert finish a solid #32nd place.
